Where are the bug bites? You won’t actually spot them on the tea leaves, sorry! The bites of the tea jassid are teeny tiny. Plus, it’s not the bite itself that gives this tea its signature sweetness; instead, that initial jassid chomp triggers the plant’s defense mechanism, which is what happens to make the tea more delicious to humans. This varietal uses both leaves and buds from the tea plant. The buds are covered in a downy white fuzz, which is where the “white tip” part of the name comes from!
10g of tea is good for:
• 12+ mug servings (2.5g/mug, steeped 3+ times)
• 10+ gaiwan servings (5g/gaiwan, steeped 5+ times)
This tea is grown on Mr. Zeng's farm in Sanming, Fujian, and is USDA-certified organic. Our steel tea tins are crafted with care in Japan. 3% of every tea sale supports clean water projects.
